Gamespot is the only review to say that GOW for psp is not AAA

They gave it an 8.5/10



They seem to rate most Sony games a lot lower than other sites

 well, Gamespot are used to give horrible scores to Sony games. R&C got 7.5 and Uncharted got 8. It comes in no shock to me that GoW got about .8 lower than average scores by other reviewers.

 Sony really needs to work hard with Gamespot's ad department to sort out the issues. ;)

Hell , they gave MHF2 a 5 , and NFS : PS a 4 , so why do we really wonder anyways ?

I don't think anyone can say PSP has no good games, if you just do a quick check on any of the review sites the PSP has way more highly rated games than the DS, and most of them are 3rd party titles unlike on the DS. DS has hardly any decent 3rd party games, and even the ones that are good have the typically poor sales Nintendo systems produce for 3rd party games. I've just got a PSP after owning a DS and I love it; superb graphics, genuinely excellent games, the works. I love it.

From what I can tell '08 will be huge for both the PS3 and PSP. The DS has hardly anything in the way of 3rd party games coming out this year and even the Nintendo ones don't look brilliant so far. So another bad year for developers working on that system then. This is the very thing that will "eventually" kill the Wii and DS if you ask me. The gaming public can only withstand so many regurgitated Nintendo ideas for so long, after all.

DS does have awesome RPG games. Some of the in 3Ds (FFIV remake), those are probably only games I play on my DS in RPG genre.

in the month of March, I probably won't be using much of my DS. Maybe until another good DS game comes out after I'm done with Crisis Core.

Yeah it has a few good games obviously, I just mean that overall PSP games are far better both critically and commercially, most especially for the all-important 3rd party developers.

 yeah, but you won't get any Nintendo fans to agree to that. They will either say that Nintendo reviews are biased because reviewers don't know how to review casual games, or they will say that everybody hates Nintendo. So, there's no sense bringing it up (Unless anybody goes and claims that PSP has no good game while stating that DS does).

PSP is getting surprising solid games this year and the trend will continue to next year with the release of Dissedia, Kingdom Hearts and Star Ocean. So you won't hear me complaining.

Yeah I agree with you kingofwale, I wasn't trying to initiate a debate, just mentioning the differences between the two platforms. Oh and if anyone argues that critics don't know how to review casual games, then they are living in a dreamworld. As a critic myself, not for games but for movies and DVDs, I can attest that, from a reviewing angle, it doesn't matter if a product is "hardcore" or "casual", a good product will always be a good product and visa versa.

I agree that there's no such thing as "hardcore" or "casual", a game is always reviewed as "is it fun"?

But I really applaud some of the websites (ie IGN) give games to people who actually like the genre to review it (so, RPG fans review RPG games...), So not only they will have more experience with the genre to judge the game, but they also will be less likely to judge the game unfairly simply because the peron dislike the genre.

Well God of War PSP was a disappointment, for me. I don't have a problem with the length, but it doesn't live up to the console's version. Good thing I rented this game for free. Next up is Crisis Core. I hope that one doesn't disappoint.
