Looking at 360 sales in its early years, this is more then fair.

Look at the post above.

The landscape of retail in November 2006 is vastly different to that in 2012 for instance.

Biggets issue i see is price, the higher the price the more Dec sales are.  Lower the price the more of the holidays sales share flows into Nov.

Nah, X360 and PS3 were $300~ with more expensive skus for most of their life in the US.

Matters little, consumer know their launch price.  Untill its lower the sales will be more concentrated in the buying spree of december.

That's some interesting conclusion, we'll see this holiday. I don't agree though.

Hmmm with the 50 dollar holiday promotion price, Halo, CoD, etc..... I can see it doing 1.3 million. Black Friday deals? Hmmmmm not sure they're already doing the 50 buck thing the whole holiday season so maybe a free game promotion is possible on top of that? then again they already have bundles for AC Unity and Call of Duty.

Actually the CoD bundle will probably be limited like the SO bundle. So honestly I don't know about black Friday :/

I think the proportion of XB1's sales that are in US will be insanely high in November. All these deals will make it competitive with PS4 but elsewhere in the world it will be all but forgotten in comparison

Year      NPD             Shipped    Elsewhere
2006    1,859,000    4.3             2,441,000
2007    2,396,000    4.3             1,904,000
2008    2,647,000    6                 3,353,000
2009    2,380,000    5.2              2,820,000
2010    3,550,000    6.3              2,750,000
2011    3,800,000    8.2              4,400,000
2012    2,930,000    5.9             2,970,000
2013    1,456,000    3.5              2,043,000

This will be a very different situation to 360's. PS4 is a different monster to PS3 and XB1 is not as popular as 360. So far about 60% of XB1's sales have been in USA and that % will be bigger in November imo, with Black Friday being much bigger there and all these deals being exclusive to USA.

I agree, I think it'll sustain at 60% this gen unlike last gens 50% for 360.

Something like 1 million for ps4.
And something like...350/400k for WiiU.

Let's say 1,250,000 for the XB1 in November.

Just to add, the PS4 will probably do the same if not a little more.

It is near the end of the end....

801k - 900k for me, Halo MCC is going to help but this pricecut even more. I think it would of done 500k without the pricecut

Xbox 360 first 4 Novembers sales (vgc)

2005 305k
2006 509k
2007 669k
2008 811k

Lets face it X1 is no 360 in US.

So how in the hell does anyone see X1 braking 1m in November, it took 360 6 years to break 1million in Nov sales in the US. You all just disregard history and run with hopes ? By the way PS3 never broke 1m in Nov in US, yet X1 will do it its second year. Ohh Please.

Even my 700k might have been to generous. You all influenced me with all this crazy unsubstantiated optimism.

Ugh, I've already told you. Retailer habits have changed since those days and November is a lot more concentrated for sales now. And before you trot out some excuse about high priced consoles, this goes for the entire retailer industry.
