Can you name a single console that hasn't broken down though? Every single console ever released has caused people to have to buy replacements after they broke. Oh and besides that alot of the broken consoles were actually repaired and resold rather than just thrown away.

I'm still a firm believer that the N64 was indestructible.

Pretty much all cartrige based consoles are indestructible.

The Nintendo wasn't. Neither were the controller ports on the Genesis.

The US and the rest of the world got the crappy VHS style design if it would have been a top loader like the SNES and the N64 and pretty much all other cartirge based consoles it would have been better.  Never heard about contoroller port issuses with the Genesis must have been the second or third design never had a issue with my original model.
