PS2 (12 total): Grand Theft Auto III (97) Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty (96), Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec (95), Devil May Cry (94), SSX (93), Final Fantasy X (92), Twisted Metal Black (91), Ico (90), Jak and Daxter (90), Ace Combat 04: Shattered Skies (89), Silent Hill 2 (89), Tekken Tag Tournament (85)

Nothing will ever live up to PS2's 1st year

I never said they were good, just acceptable. Each gen has become progressively more out of sync with the timing of the last, so the libraries we have now were to be expected. When you look at what released this year, vs what will be available in just the first few months of 2015, it's easy to see the affects of a prolonged transition period.

With that in mind, coupled with reviewers being much harsher this gen and 3rd party exclusives being less common in general, i think their exclusive libraries are perfectly acceptable. Nothing to praise, but nothing to criticize either, when consider the present situation.

Edit: Just saw starcraft's comment, and he's right. This isn't really the place for this discussion.

Pretty much what was expected. Unfortunately my backlog has grown into a shelf of sealed games so I'll wait for this to hit bargain price.

I wish gamrReview scores were on Metacritic. We've been trying so hard for so long. We have over 1000 reviews. I have over 100 myself. None on meta :(

The word exclusive itself is overhyped. The Wii U continues to have the top rated exclusives. The fact that people ignore this but want Xbox One exclusives to mean something are really disconnected. People don't care about exclusives. They are just bragging rights for fanboys. People don't care. They just want good games on a good system. Also, every exclusive should not be burdened with carrying the fate of a console on its back.

* My last comment on this topic in this thread I promise.

But they should care. If consoles don't have exclusives than there is absolutely no reaosn for 3 of them to exist together. We should just have one of the three if people no longer care about exclusives and great exclusives are scarcely getting made. But no, Sony and Microsoft have the brilliant plan to make it so that everything is exclusive except that one or two killer IP that everyone wants to play (say UC4 or Halo 5 for example). So it's like they want the gamers to waste $400 to just to have the "priveleg" of playing that one or two great exclusive title. It's bullshit when we compare it to the past gens where there were literally dozens of exclusives as incentives to buy a console. The gamer is getting screwed in all of it, and if exclusives really don't matter now then we need to have one system. Period.

Higher than I expected, but my expectations were based on my personal preference rather than objectivity.

It seems that reviewers love the game, which is very good for the game's legs, as well as for sequels. Maybe the FW sales will be lower, but positive reviews will ensure it longevity it deserves.

I will definitely never play it due to subjective reasons, but I am glad that this being a new, off-the-wall IP hasn't hurt the game.

Anyways, really glad to see IGN give it a 9. Throughout the years I've always tended to agree with them most on game scores.

And I do agree critics are harsher now than ever, so an 82 is probably like an 87 2-3 years ago.

I don't know what specific criteria Metacritic use to decided which sites they list, but have you tried contacting Game Rankings? The only one of their conditions you might have an issue with is they require 15 reviews per month, but I've seen them be fairly lenient on that.

its looking like i am gonna get the Sunset Overdrive Xbox One for Chirstmas then after seeing these scores

I'll pick it up if I ever get around to getting an Xbox One.
