I don't think it's accurate to say that we <i>knew</i> that. We were hoping for it, and assumed it was because of the screenshots, but a lot of people made the same assumption with MK8. So it's still good to have it confirmed.

At E3 2013, Eurogamer said Nintendo confirmed the game is 1080p. Eurogamer also said Mario Kart 8 was 1080p, but we didn't know the truth of that until long after E3 2013. And anyway, the Mario Kart 8 thing was always sketchy. Eurogamer just dropped it into one of their articles like it was no big deal, then in a later article used as a source a seperate site which was using their earlier article as a source. It's a complete mess, an absolute failure of basic journalism.

I've felt that the writing was on the wall for Smash to be 1080p for a long time. I didn't doubt it. And I never believed that Mario Kart was 1080.

Conisdering I only wanted to see everything leaked from Amazon in more detail, 8 player mode, Great Cave offensive, and the game having everything Brawl had like item frequencies, tourneys, event match (except Subspace but it was confirmed earlh to be missing), I couldn't care less about the obvious information presented.

No way in hell am i buying smash 3DS and Wii U for Mewtwo though. Bring on the dlc (if its prices like Mario Kart 8 at least)!
