He does raise a few good point though. This game is not helping the industry's image, and it is definitely different than other "violent" games.
Oh well, hope it doesn't get a lot of media attention.

Isn't the object of every FPS to kill? Shouldn't we call them all First Person Killers?

Anyway if the devs REALLY want to piss people off , it will come out on Wii U. :)

A developer shouldn't have to worry about the "image" of the gaming industry. People will get over it as they eventually understand these are works of art, creations, and no different than movies.

No big fuss was made when Rampage came out. That was a movie about a dude who goes on a shooting rampage through the streets of his city. It was brutal. Kills loads of people. One scene he went into a salon IIRC and had all the women/young ladies get into a corner. He took his helmet off and made a glass of water. Drank it and left. Returned 5 second later realizing they had seen his face and slaughtered all of them. Just full of violence like that. There's even a sequel out recently, which I haven't seen yet and probably won't. Not because of the violence, but the acting and story in the first were just not that good.

It's sad that some journalists and gamers would not want the medium to be allowed the same freedom others are.

Disgusting game that's based on the filth in some people's hearts. There are a lot of other games were you can kill the civillians, should you CHOOSE to, but never is it the sole purpose of the whole game. Those who don't see the difference by now are not going to change their minds by discussing it.

so what is the point in postal if u dont kill civilians? the "story"?

Where did you see me praise the likes of Postal and Manhunt?

so u know those games?  but what is the point in those games if u dont carelessly kill civilians? there is no difference, we have allready games like this. so stop lieing about it.

and no, they have no influence on schoolshotings. thats mostly gun laws and the society.

(europeans, canadians, australiens, etc. dont shot eachother at the school.)

There you go.

It's a game ffs. I enjoyed GTA because I could just cause chaos and kill everyone until the cops get me. I didn't care that much about the story. I also kill in a lot of FPS games without caring or knowing about the story. I assassinate people in Hitman and Assassins Creed sometimes without knowing the purpose. I don't see why this is such a big deal. If you don't like playing as a murderer, if you need the character that's doing the killing to have a reason then don't buy the game.

Why are you calling me a liar? Is not possible for you to converse politely? Is that what you understand under freedom of speech?

u ARE a liar, u have known about other games that are like this but u choosed to talk about this game like it was the first that ever done something like this.

is killing civiliants the sole purpose of postal? i would say yes like the most people who played it, some will might argue there is a story with missions.(we all know they are just there to let the postal dude make jokes and to get u into fights with everybody)

If it's already getting articles then it's probably just steps away from getting media attention from a higher source like CNN, and they love to bring up the topic if "violent video games cause violent behaviour".
