What I meant was why not consider the deaths of Germans, Japanese, Vietnamese and Iraqi's and whoever else distasteful in war games?

Stories, legends, the way they're depicted, and emotions.  While war is a serious subject that has touched our lives as well theyre depicted in an entirely different manner.

It features an angry guy who hates the world and is killing simply because he wants to.

Sounds like God of War.

lol, no lies detected. Part of the reason why I hated kratos.

I will never buy a game that glorifies pure hate like this.

Causing hatred is forbidden by law in most country's so this game might even get banned almost everywhere.

A game doesn't "cause" hatred. If that were the case, bigotry wouldn't have been a thing until the last quarter of the 20th century. Hatred has been around since the caveman days.

Game are simply a reflection of reality. Before there was the game Hatred, Jack the Ripper was slicing women to pieces.

Y'know, I've played a ton of very violent video games in the three decades I've been a gamer, from Smash TV to Mortal Kombat to Doom to Gears of War. But I've never seen anything like this. This is the first time I've seen violence in a video game that actually unnerved me. The tone, the way it's portrayed, the victims, the nature of the "protagonist." It's deliberately dark and malicious, as if it exists purely to shock and disgust people. I don't see any redeeming value to this title, and I hope it fails. This is just going to give ammo to the anti-video game people in the media and Congress.

sounds like it has a lot of redeeming values if it's the first game to depict murder as something truely shocking instead of "fun"

Not sure why people are complaining, the game innovates in all account, if anything this is the only true next gen game coming out.

Market will decide if games like this are still worth it, if Hatred is fun I'll buy it I can diferentiate real life from entertainment.

BTW what an asshole bad mouthing Gamer Gate which is legit, articles like these remind me how important GG is.

While I respect everyones opinion Cencorship and freedom of speech are things that are non negotiable in art, you may not consider this game art and thats fine, but that still does not give anyone the right to censor it.

Freedom of speech and censorship are never up for debate this will be rated R, M, 18+ w/e.

If it bothers you then dont play it, but asking for a ban is a very slippery slope that will leave us all playing cat picture puzzle games.
