Well can it? Current top games according to vgc are...

1.24mil: (1.03mil  NA+Europe) MH Tri (Wii)

1.31mil: (980k NA+Europe) MH3 Unite (psp) (this might be overtracked)

Could be although the install base of the wii was high and the interest of MH in the west isnt that high so idk

though it doesn't look like it will, the 3ds version did over 500k outside of japan right? And that was a port of a port... I think mh4g will do alot better. Maybe between 700k-800k. I do hope its more!
