^^I suspect both 360 and PS3 are way ahead Wii by now in terms of retail plus digital game sales. But long story short, I don't think PS3 will catch 360 until we know exact numbers from both.

It would have done if there was no next gen. But theres not very long left for that generation im afraid. its going to grind to nothing in 2 or three years

Well not in UK either. And as of now, few games are being published exclusively for 7th gen to make a big demand.

The only markets significantly selling games for the 7th gen now are US, UK and Japan.


This doesn't make any sence. Why would the US, UK and JP be the only relevant regions for SW, when the PS3 has sold more HW in mainland Europe than in the US, not to mention that it does better in mainland EU than in any other region on a weekly basis (talking about HW sales). Now, do you think all those new PS3 owners are not going to buy software for their consoles?

OT: I believe it'll happen by holiday 2015. It'll pass the Wii before that even.

The Wii sells ~200k software per week. When was the last new software release for the Wii?

The software baseline for a console lasts longer than the HW baseline. New releases don't matter as much this late in a gen, because people have the entire library of games to choose from. People don't only buy new releases.

i think you take the console warz too seriously. The way I see it., it's like picking a football team to support. You slag off the opposion (hopefully good natured slagging) and you celebrate the "wins". If you support real madrid or man united and you boast about it to someone you just beat they don't turn around and say "wow you celebratez like you are real madridz". Come on man it's all good natured banter until people like you take it that one strp too far.
