Forums - Gaming - Biggest Disappointment of the Year?

What game was the biggest disappointment?

Destiny 244 44.36%

Watchdogs 109 19.82%

Titanfall 99 18.00%

AC Unity 900p 36 6.55%

Driveclub 61 11.09%

Total:549

From that list Destiny. But that's my own fault of not knowing what the game was supposed to be. I was looking forward to an awesome single player sci-fi campaign, Halo 4 style in a new universe. Then on release I find out it's an mmo hybrid, not for me.

From the games I've bought this year it's a toss up between DKTF and MK8. I feel like I'm just buying them cause it's supposed to be good, and sure they are good, but I hardly play them. DKTF is still too frustrating in co-op and single player I quickly lose interest. The Mario games and rayman legends got played from start to finish with all of us, DKTF is still waiting at world 2.
MK8, we did every circuit once, then the kids lost interest. Also not a game I feel like playing by myself. Pikmin 3, which I got with MK8, turned out to be very good though.

I think all of them. But in my opinion. Destiny & Titanfall because they're always ONLINE!

Destiny. Can't even put into words just how disappointing it was/is

Destiny was exactly what what I expected after play the Alpha / Beta... so there is no mistake here amazing game before the purchase.

Watch Dogs was a disappointment... boring and not GTA like... 900p hurt it too.

Titanfall matched my expectations too... amazing gameplay with low content.

AC: Parity was another disappointment too but I was never a fans of the franchise.

DriveClub seems to be a nice surprise... fun arcade racer but I didn't played yet.

So from these... I think Watch Dogs was my disappointment.

It has to be Destiny. After Watch Dogs and Titanfall being disappointing games, I've been looking forward to Destiny to be a good game full of content and with a good story. But we only got what we got: a shadow of what it could have been. And the cherry on top of the ice cream? Locked areas only accessed by DLC.

Definitely not Smash Bros 3DS, I can tell you that. I was very worried that it would disappoint me, after falling in love with Brawl.

Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.

Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash

Has to be the GotG.

Destiny - I've only played the beta, but I really enjoyed my time with it. I really liked the atmosphere, though from the reviews I know the game didn't exactly execute the way I was hoping it would Oh well, I'm gonna pick it up anyway once I get a PS4.

Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!

My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/

My consoles: PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim 320 GB, PSV 32 GB, Wii, DSi.

Everything......lets see,

this year I bought Titan Fall thinking it would entertain me until advanced warfare came out. But after 2 months, I haven't touched the thing.

I bought watch dogs and it looked nothing like what was advertised and the gameplay wasn't good........aside from the rain on the road, last gen's GTA 5 is an overall better looking game. I have not even made it 10% trough that game because I lost motivation so fast.

I bought NBA 2k15 two days ago because of the face scan, and with that high tech kinect cam, I still haven't got a player in my likeness yet.... so the game feels like a waste cause the gameplay is same as last year with not noticeable graphical improvements .

I never had any expectations of destiny or anything in the poll I didn't mention so they didn't disappoint me....out of titan fall and watchdogs, I'll say watch dogs because at least titan fall held my attention for 2 months, that has to count for something.

^Yes that's me ripping it up in the GIF. :)

Destiny and Watch Dogs, by far.

By the time it came out, I was fully expecting Watch_Dogs to be shit, so not that. Titanfall is about what I expected. Destiny is the only one that fell short, but I haven't played it yet, so I can't really say.

None of the games I've actually paid for this year have disappointed me, so...
