I could just name the entire Gears list but Ill try and keep it a little different.

Where as I could say sniper rifle in all games i have to give a special shoutout to the Longshot in Gears and the Sniper in Halo.  Halo's sniper for its NO-Scope ability if youre good with it and ricochet bullets. Longshot for its brutal headshots



Lancer, also from Gears.  Chainsaw assault rifle has got to be the best



Lastly from the Gears franchise I have to go with the Torque Bow. Not only does it have my favorite execution in the game but its so satisfying getting kills with it.  Once again another weapon that involves precicion and skill, especially with blind fires.

I also like the Flak Cannon from Unreal Tournament.  


To be honest there isnt a lot of games that i can think of that has memorable weapons besides Halo, Gears, and Unreal Tournament.  Im sur ethere is, just not anything popping into my head.

Have you played any of the Ratchet and Clank games?

BFG 9000 in Doom, the double-barrelled shotgun in Doom II, and the railgun in the Quake series (at least the ones in Q2 and Q3 were awesome)

Oh, and the nuke gun in Crysis. :P Too bad you can't really get it in the actual game, and even worse that it doensn't create the awesome shockwave seen in the trailer. Still, it's awesome!

Yeah, i love R&C and they have some crazy weapons.  Crack in Time was my favorite, however I cant remember any of the weapons.  Most likely because there was no competitive multiplayer where i used them a lot or had to be good with them.  If anything id put the Portal gun, though not much of a weapon

He definitely does. One of my favorites in the R&C Future series. His loudmouth demeanor is hilarious.
