I made a thread weeks ago asking the same question but about Nintendo games, listing some stupid excuses that people love to talk about nintendo that are keeping away to play its games and that are making its way to irrelevance.

What i find funny is that thread was flooded by a user using the same stupid excuses on my list on the first page to make his point, there is other users that don't miss a opportunity to downplay every single aspect of nintendo making comparisons with non-nintendo titles that has anything in common with nintendo games and a user saing that you could make a thread of any of the big 3, but didn't make a proper list that could make a different thread for sony, microsoft but even encompass third party publishers -> http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=6610190

More movies than games

Too much violence

To answer my own thread, I gotta say I do like some sony and third party games. I had a ps1, ps2 and ps3. Played and Enjoyed Crash, Ape Scape, God of War, Infamous and GTA. I am a fan of Mortal Kombat and played since the SNES (i didin't have one but played a lot on my friend's house). Never enjoyed playing military shooters and i hate sport games (this is one of the reasons that i'm always late in purchasing a PS and i didn't bought a ps3).

About that list, I really don't care about realism and violence in games and i got bored really fast in long cutscenes. I always look in the gameplay and fun when i wanna purchase a game, realism and violence don't add or subtract anything on my interest. This list just say about a minority of the nintendo fanbase, when the things i listed on the nintendo thread is almost a common sense between mainstream gamers, sony and microsoft fans

I don't like many of the first party games on the Xbox and I like many of the first party Sony exclusives.

Personally no, not that I don't play any third party, these days, most third party game get really boring real quick with me. I tend to have better experiences with exclusives. Mainly with Sony and Nintendo titles.

I've read both your posts twice and I'm still not sure what point you're trying to make.

You've made a list of bad generalizations?  Do you want people to add to it or do you want them to explain why bad generalizations are bad?  You say third-party games in the title but you also mean first-party games?

3rd Party - You bonkers?! I always played 3rd party games!!! PC mainly in the past, but now mainly consoles.
