As some of you guys may know. There is a good gaming event happening in my country called BGS (Brasil Game Show) right now.
It happens that this time I took some time to visit this event (First time for me) and I could try a lot of games that just reached the market and some that are still to be launched.
Here are my opinions on each of the games I mentioned:
The Order 1866
I have been skeptical about this game ever since its first gameplay videos appeared. Unfortunately my time with it did not change my mind at all, on the contrary.
It's a very beautiful game, that is undeniable but beautiful visuals alone do nothing for a game that features ordinary TPS mechanics with a lot of CGI scenes.
I was not impressed or happy with what I could play of this game.
Bloodborn
For a game that in theory will appeal to a niche, there was a lot of people in line waiting for a chance to play it during 6 minutes. Demon and Dark Souls weren't really my kind of games, but Bloodborn is super fun and addicting. All the people who tried it had a smile in their faces right after.
It features a similar atmosphere to the Souls games, but combat if much more fluid and interesting. Right now, if there is one exclusive game to envy on Playstation 4, it's this one.
Assassin's Creed: Unity
If you like me has avoided the franchise because the new games look like the same of previous years, believe me, you have no reason to buy this one too.
Visually speaking, it is very beautiful. Paris is by far the most realistic city ever recreated in any AC game. The lighting, animations and crowds are amazing, but that's all. In essence it's the same recycled formula we have been playing since 2007, just a lot more beautiful.
After the demo, I decided to use the money for this game on GTA V.
FarCry 4
Very good shooter, I enjoyed every minute spent with it. I wasn't even going to try it, but the lines weren't very long and it was near the AC:U zone.
Elephants are cool...
Mortal Kombat X
It's not very different from the last game that came out in 2011 to be honest. People who liked MK9 will like this.
Shadow of Mordor
I wasn't certain to buy this game in november. Now I'm 100% sure that I will.
Halo MMC
The demo available was a Halo 2 ice stage full of platforms (I really can't remember its name).
I had only played Halo 2 on the original Xbox after the XBL for it was discontinued and so could not really atest for the quality of its MP.
Now I can say that IT IS AMAZING and well worth Xbox fans money. For me it's a shame that Halo 2 won't be available on X360 like Halo: Combat Anniversary was. I would get a X360 for this one.
