Nintendo Needs to Do More "New IPs" Within An Already Established One. Ala SM3DW>Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker.

*Also can you name any suggestions that nintendo should do thats like SM3DW+CT:TT?

Seriously, I dont know if they literally intended this but in SM3DW, the Captain Toad Stages were literally a test run (or demo) for the upcoming new ip Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker.

Its self promotion and gets recognition for people who have played SM3DW. Also this could be a way to give some of Nintendo's Less popular characters aka Spin off characters a breathing chance to  star in their own series.

I mean we have no Mario as the protagonist but Captain Toad and a character nobody probably thought to be in their own game (Toadette).

Lastly... This is pretty funny as Toadette is starring in a game before wanted characters like Daisy/Waluigi XD (Toadette was also in TTYD so this is her 2nd appearance outside of the mario spin offs!)

Toadette originated in TTYD, so I'm glad she's popular.

I agree! I wouldn't mind new IPs in general...
Splatoon & Captain Toad are a great start though.

i personally think the captain toad game is really lame. It really feels like a mobile game or maybe a download title i wouldn't pay more than 20$ for. That being said i think the idea of featuring a character in a big nintendo game and then giving that character a chance at their own game is a good idea. I would have really loved if we got a zelda game where you play as 2ndary characters in some kinda spinoff story instead of hyrule warriors. Not that i dislike hyrule warriors.

Yeah, if we have to have a "traditional" star fox game, then lets see falco or star wolf in a 3rd person cop-op shooter set in the star fox universe.
