Forums - Nintendo - I learned something fascinating about N64 sales

Interesting. But this is just one guy.

tbh people doing something like this are retards imo. Buying something and then just selling to get profit is fail. Its stealing bargains from people that would be happy to get their favorite items for cheap. Its being a parasite.

I think Nintendo games feel (at least until now) complete and feel valuable.  The rest is pretty replacable. So thats why Nintendo games keep the value.
Cartridges also have a bit more value than disks.

Yep, I loved my N64 so much that I got it on my nickname. Bought a N64 a few years ago, and I am still buying games for it.

If the Wii U is unable to compete with the legacy of the N64 of all things, it truly is a screwed up console.

It's the public perception that's screwed up.

I think though we look at Nintendo through too much nostalgia and rose colored glasses.  Because many figure Nintendo never did any wrong way back in the day, everything else today is horrible in comparison. And it was a great era.

Someday, Mario 64 won't be the greatest 3D mario, and we'll need to recognize that.

Someday, OoT won't be the greatest Zelda, and we'll need to recognize that.

Someday Nintendo will publish a FPS better than Goldeneye/Perfect Dark.

Well, I heard Super Mario Galaxy is better than than Super Mario 64. So we got that out of the park...

OoT has everything over ALTTP besides story. ALTTP has a slight edge over it. All the Zelda's I've played have not match it so far.

And nah, Nintendo is light years away from making anything even close to Goldeneye/Perfect Dark.

So 1 out of 3?

And I'm ALL IN for a LoZ: MM remake... as I said countless times!

Someday? but Super Mario 64 was beaten 7 years ago ;)

Grab an emulator, you'll spare money and make the world a better place.

How is it making the world a better place?  I was just thinking of the waste of old systems.  If no one bought all the old systems then all the systems would end up in landfills (with very few of them being recycled).  How is not reselling old systems and games making the world a better place?  If anything it would make it worse with more electronic waste in the landfills.

Have fun trying to play local multiplayer games on your emulator.  N64 was made for 4 player local gaming.  I'm pretty sure you can't do that on an emulator.

I don't get why you say that someone will make the world a better place by using an emulator. I don't get it if it is supposed to be a joke either.

It has to do with his sig. it says... "Play games on pc, you'll make the world a better place."

So you should play the N64 in your PC. I mean Sleepyprince says so... so it must be true.

Oh... I just responded to his comment with a serious counter argument...  I don't view sigs (have them turned off because sigs are annoying).

So you admit you pirate games?

That's funny because I was thinking about buying a N64 only some weeks ago.

But when I read things like this I'm not sure what Nintendo will do next and how successful it will be...

I don't hate Microsoft, I don't hate PC,
I don't prefer Sony, I don't prefer Nintendo.
...Ok, I love Nintendo but this is something about tolerance, ok?
