thanks, i got the entry for the Alpha! ive heard good things about this game so im hoping to be impressed by the alpha

i don't much care for pvp games but i do very much like that this is doing something quite different from the standard team deathmatch that dominated last gen.  i hope this does well so that other developers take note that it is okay to drift away from the "winning formula" a bit.  i like the asynchronicity of this game and thing that if developers really put their minds to it they could come of with a lot of other great ideas in the area of asynchronicity.

Yep it's one of the things I like about Destiny and bringing Raids to consoles. It forces players to work together and talk to eachother in ways they aren't used to (on consoles anyways).

I also like the idea of this game but I hope the monster is strong enough so that it foces teammates to talk to eachother. Also I hope they have ways of expaning the modes and things like that. Just hunting a monster game after game is not fun.

balance is always going to be the hard part.  there was a mode in U3 where there was 3 "heros" or whatever and i played the part of one of many mobs.  that mode was fun enough as a "hero" but as a mob it sucked to bascially be dead for the entire match.  not only does the monster need to be strong enough to have 50/50 odds of winning it has to be fun to play the part of the hunted.  pre-views have been pretty positive though.

Agreed this was also one of my concerns in that it seems boring to be the monster. What I always thought would be a better idea would be to have two monsters. That way the monster has someone they can strategize with and talk to otherwise it seems very boring. At the very least I hope they let the person playing the monster talk to the hunters.

doubtfull as that would give away the hunters position and strategy.  maybe if you are engaged in battle and the proximity is close but not all the time.

...which you're right.  no comms would be kinda boring.
