I think Xbox one is hugely undertracked. Firstly China alone is over 100k first 24 hours. EU seems way off and US I predict is now already microsofts.

There will be some big changes when Microsoft reveals its shipped numbers. Xbox one will get a big boost on this site then.

If anything it's overtracked here. What you're describing is confirmation bias. I am a PC and Nintendo fan, but PS4 is absolutely crushing it, all you have to do is look at sales charts, Best Buy, Gamestop, and the ever reliable Amazon charts. If NPD comes and shows yet another 2 to 1 US victory, will the last remnants of these unrealistic beliefs die out? I swear it feels like a religious cult to me, these few who consistently have faith in something that is so unlikely and unproven that it defies logic and sanity.

dude its just my opinion. We will see. If it hasn't already, I certainly think halo will bring Xbox to the fore in us. Mcc is possibly the best fanfare ever to grace gaming. And a lot of us people love halo. But hey we will see. Personally I actually don't care. I dont really like Sonya games as they tend to be over the top cinematic and linear gameplay. So ill always prefer games like gears of war or halo to uncharted or the last of us. Although I ove me some god of war. By far Sonys best game.

That bolded part just made my brain hurt.  What isn't linear about Gears or Halo?

Why is VG assuming xone sold every single of the 100,000 xone to customers in China. And why are they adding it to the tally. I remember they could add Sony's officially released sales numbers because they could figure out a way to adjust the numbers to make them add up but for xbox they just assume it sold out everywhere and added the number mysteriously to the total.

The rest of the world isn't just China..

Microsoft didn't announce the 100k figure. The shop selling them in China made the statement they sold 100k first day. So its obvious it wasn't shipped. Unless the shop ships to themselves???? It's probably more than100k first week in China. I don't see how anyone thinks its shipped from Microsoft when they didn't make the statement.

No clarification has been made whether this is sold-through or shipped numbers.

In uncharted I played for an hour sometimes while pressing one button through cutscene or dialog or slowly walking through a desert. Etc. Looks nice, but with a b movie story got boring for me. Gears or halo doesn't do this. They still play like games. I actually prefer uncharted 1 to uc2 and 3 and the last of us for this reason. I also prefer the new tomb raider over uc because it borrowed some elements of uc but put an actual game around it. Especially the tombs etc that weren't part of the story.

I wonder if reviewers are sick of that type of game already? The order is getting harsh previews for taking player control away atm. Something that became really prominant last gen in naughty dogs games.

Anyway, my opinion.

I'm confused. Let's say gamestop made the comment. We have sold 100k in first 24 hours. Why would anyone think it was shipped to them from Microsoft????? Surely gamestop would mean we have sold 100k to consumer???? Makes no sense why a company would say we have sold 100k in 24 hours. And actually mean we recieved the 100k we bought from Microsoft.

Let's not forget Halo remake week is coming soon...

fixed. A surprising number of people will be disappointed there's not a new Halo, but rather a re-release of ones they already have.

Don't get me wrong Halo 2 will be great once again, if only for a little bit.

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

IIRC there was only one month with the 2 to 1 ratio (this year January). At least it was the only that Sony bragged about.

And assuming the NPD leaks we have a 3 to 2 or 4 to 3 ratio for the whole year.

Not a thing that I would say "yet again".

The only place (if VGChartz is correct) where anything is being crushed is in mainland Europe. The gap there is 3 times the USA gap.

First it was "wait for Titanfall", next was "wait for pricecut", then "wait 2nd Tier Countries", then "wait for China", now it's "wait for Halo MCC". Denial mister, denial.

Sounds more like pacing and story are your issue than the linear concepts.  I agree with you on a lot of it though.  I also preferred UC1 and 2 to UC3 and TLoU.  In fact, I never got more than an hour or two into UC3 or TLoU because I felt more like I was watching than playing them.

I think those games have a place and hope they aren't getting shat on just because they are that format, but rather because they aren't that format well done.
