That much, I don't really care about. What I honestly want to see if the swarm of people that will come and say that Kojima and Konami are crappy devs because of their audio compression methods.

I was surprised when I saw Medieval TW2 Gold requires a huge 17GB HDD space. I wonder just how big will games get.

Thats awsome how they put so much content that it filled the damn blu-ray disc to the max.

MGS games usually lasts for less than 20 hrs.
That is a lot of space.
Imagine FFXIII coming in 2 Blu-ray discs... That would be fucked up.

 I really don't mind 2, if I can get high-def cinematics in game. Most of Blu-Ray collector's sets are consist of 2 blu-ray disc.

what I HATE is when you go and have 4-5 Disc, then that just gets annoying.

I dont really mind either but its the principle of the issue.
Blu-ray is suppose to be the next-gen format with the giant amount of space. Heck most people claim that the extra space isn't even needed this gen.
Seeing one game fill 2 Blu-rays this early, would be very surprising.

I definitely see what you mean, but as long as they put those extra space into good use (boost gameplay time and increase graphics or better in-game cinematics). I am willing to take a little abuse in order to get a triple A game.

Now, if it's an normal game, I wouldn't stomache it at all.

If I'm not mistaken, Lair took up about 25 GB because of extra language voiceovers.

However the difference between this situation and that of Lair's is that Lair was that big BECAUSE of all the extra audio, whereas MGS4 WON'T have extra audio because the game is so big already.

But even still, on Joystiq and Destructoid, many people are flipping out saying things like "Kojima is just crappy. He needs to program more efficiently...blah blah blah"

I honestly enjoy those comments, though, because for over a year, they've said that only with Blu-ray is the game possible, and this proves it, yet there are still naysayers

I hope the japanese version has english subtitles, for in that case that would be the definite version for me. The english cast is quite good, but for my ears the japanese voice over just sounds tremendously better.
