Before I get banned because I criticized a member/mods in a thread where it doesn't belong I want to show you this mail that got completely ignored (and the wall posts were suspiciously removed without any punishment to Hynad):

So if you were wondering why I don't bother using the conventional methods of reporting people anymore it's because I always get ignored by mods when I do that. No bother communicating with someone if they ignore you time and time again.

I never get replied back to, lol.

Why did foodfather get banned?

He was a fellow funkster.

You can't call someone butthurt, salty or troll on this site, even if they are, but you can troll all you want as long as you're sly about it.

Apparently butthurt is such a bad word that it requires a 2 week ban.

Ban length has nothing to do with offense (unless it is really bad). They use a progressive system where if you keep breaking the same rules, the ban length increases with each offense.

Also, for your other post, there is a reason trucks isn't a head mod anymore.  He was getting overwhelmed with his fixing the site duties on top of being a head mod.  You have to realize these are still volunteer positions.

Which is obviously a dumb system (the way they utilize it at least). I've not seen Foodfather banned much, so I doubt even that.

As for Trucks, the reason I contacted him was because he instigated the comments Hynad made on his walls, so he definitely read it. Give him another title than mod then if he can't do that job properly. His work is greatly appreciated, but has nothing to do with being a mod (if what you say is true).

So what system would be better than a progressive system?  You want mods to just pick an arbitrary length for each ban?  Progressive gives users plenty of opportunity to understand what the rule is where the line is drawn.

And like I said, trucks stepped down and isn't a mod anymore...

Pretty much any forum I've been to has a better system than this site.

Calling someone butthurt or salty shouldn't even be bannable. Truck was still mod when I contacted him.

Well, to be fair, he went on a butthurt rampage in multiple threads.

Samus, I think you have a self-fulfilling prophecy here. You don't trust the mod team, so you assume reporting won't help. Then you take matters into your own hands, get banned, and, as a result, mistrust the mod team. This is a vicious circle that needs to be broken.

The mod team isn't out to get you, or any other member. And if we don't act on a report, that doesn't mean we're protecting a particular user or fan base. It means we don't agree with you that the post or thread in question is worthy of moderation.

There are going to be times when the community disagrees with the mod team. In those instances, we evaluate our positions and rules and, sometimes, change them. But you have to work with us with respect, honesty, and along the proper channels. Accusing a former mod and a fellow member of a conspiracy in a thread about Mighty No. 9 is not respectful. It's not honest. And it's certainly not the proper channel.

And you knew it. You start this post with "Before I get banned because I criticized a member/mods in a thread where it doesn't belong."

You're not above the rules, even if you disagree with them and the way the mods enforce them. If you continue to flout the rules of this forum, you will be banned and banned and, eventually, permabanned.

Now, for this particular case: Truck received PM reports from both you and Hynad for the wall conversation. Truck posted a warning in the wall conversation (which has since been deleted, probably by Hynad) instead of moderating both of you. I think it was a wise compromise that allowed both of you to remain on the site.

I just want to say that Truck is one of the most trustworthy and hardest-working members of this site. He served the mod team admirably and now he's supporting it as an admin. He would NEVER conspire with another forum member to circumvent the rules.

Anyone who knows me in or out of VGC (like on facebook, for example) will tell you that I don't like my social walls to be filled with negativity and bickering. So I eventually erase such wall posts, be it those made by other people, or by myself. A lot of times, those posts are knee jerk reactions from other users or myself, and they needlessly lure other people into making the situation grow even more than it needs to.

Now, I don't know what particular wall posts Samus is referring to, but the last time I cleaned my wall was quite a while ago. So the idea that it is some kind of conspiracy is unfounded.

This thread should have been about "when is Smeags coming back?" Nothing else matters
