I have to agree. A ban for this even with a warning is very harsh. Ryng approached Vita in an absolute mature and polite way. We should encourage grown up behavior like this and not punish. You shouldn't confuse approaching a user with baiting. I was once banned too for just naming a user in a polite way. That's just crazy. The people in this forum aren't little kids that you have to protect from each other. Unless they're slinging shit at each other I don't see a reason for a mod to intervene in any way. bWhy not let them talk it out?
On that note, why shouldn't a person be held responsible for his predictions? That's why predictions are made. Because they're fun and often risky. If we remove the failed ones and are never allowed to talk about them again, then what is the point of making predictioons?

Ryng's moderated post was the second post that either mentioned or replied to Dr. VIta. The first post was a quote to one of Vita's posts about a different topic, the only significance here is that Vita's post was right above the thread warning. So I think it's fair to assume that Ryng should have seen the warning and know not to provoke the situation further in that thread.
Was Ryng polite? Yes, which is respectable. However did he continue to prod Dr. Vita by trying to tell him to accept he is wrong, despite the warning beforehand? Yes. If Ryng was trying to offer advice as Rol suggests, then there are other well known methods that Ryng could have used, such as a private PM and not derail the thread in the process. With all things those considered, it does raise suspicion on his post at least assuming that Ryng was baiting.
Now with that being said, predictions are subject to critique by other users, as long as they're civil of course. The post which caused the warning was without a doubt, bait. It was just made to provoke and mock Dr. Vita and nothing else. But I will concede the possibility that Ryng was not baiting but trying to offer some criticism to Vita's predictions and he was trying to do it polite way. That would explain the abnormal circumstances around the bait theory.
With that being said, Ryng's post was still poorly written especially with the last line that can come across as much as advice as also a backhand compliment. The warning was there, so I do think that he should have probably avoided the topic about Dr. Vita all together instead of prodding it more but given the way he approached the situation I will reduce it to a warning.
