I have a question for a Mod just so I don't get in trouble if I do it. I was going to create a thread about E3 predictions for sonys conference and make everyone guess all the announcements. Whoever gets the most right would win a $10 psn voucher courtesy of me. Would that be okay?

Just had a quick look round and I can't see a thread for Sony predictions in the same vein as this one (though that doesn't mean there isn't one), so if that's the case I'm sure the mod team wouldn't have any objections to you making the thread

...

Which I see you've just done actually. Always a good idea to check though.

I couldn't find a mod at this hour. Wrist case scenerio is they lock y he thread. I checked the ruls on everything though and didnt find anything wrong with what I'm doing

Sounds good.

Checked out your thread and I see nothing wrong with it.

I would like clarification on how to handle a complaint. The recommended procedure does not work.

If it's a general question, please post it here. If it's specific to an individual, please send a PM to me or the mod of your choice. If it's related to a moderator, please send a PM to Smeags or axumblade.

I actually thought pokoko's questions was general, and if was not, then there's no harm in pretending. I assume he was asking about reporting a post that violates the forum rules. So it would be very helpful to the users who occasionally visit this thread to explain to them what kind of information should reports contain.

It can contain as much or as little information as you want. Providing context and summarizing the alleged infraction helps, though.

The mod team will review the report and decide as a team the penalty, if any.

I would say some detail is important - particularly if you're reporting a large post or conversations.

Let us know if you're objecting to specific wording, the overarching theme, an amalgamation of several borderline posts etc.

Are people seriously questioning whether or not RWH baits with posts and threads? Comparing this user to Toastboy is completely justified in my opinion, as someone who has seen his history and even moderated him myself; this is not something to be argued, it's simply a fact that this has been his game for some time.

Aeolus451; überlol...

I'm sorry, but I really do not agree.

For example, in a year after RWH is gone, we won't be talking about him like we're talking about toastboy. Toastboy was a phenomenon, RWH is just a guy that posts here and there and rarely even makes thread (tally is 58 vs 1411). RWH is new (1 year old) while toastboy was a longtime member (since 2008), we had time to figure out toastboy.

I'd just prefer if something so obvious weren't blurred like I'm seeing right now. RWH is not toastboy, not by a long shot.

I don't think Mummel was arguing they were exactly the same but they both have a clear console preference and both word the threads they create in a manner they know full well will create drama, flaming and outbursts. In that way, they are similar users.

Lets hope sony dont have another wonderbook or ubisoft dont have a section with music games and other bs for 30 minutes, because permabans will be tossed this year !!!

I mean, i go to microsoft thread of the conference , that is 90 minutes i am watching and commenting, in the space of one hour i said conference was a bit boring 2 times " in the most boring parts " and i have already a mod on my neck quoting me saying , "no no no you already said 3 times this is boring ".

One comment was "conference is start to getting boring", "other was bring back rare and gears because its getting boring ... "

If he was quoting me i guess i was reported( i am pretty sure i was right M?) , people dont have nothing more usefull to do than trow reports left and right for nothing to see if they make people banned ?

Three times, I quoted the third.

1. 2. 3. Me.

Having an opinion is fine, we understand that not everyone will be happy with what is being shown, but when one person is pushing the same "boring" thing in each post it is bordering on spam. You didnt go overboard, which is why I only quoted you to try get you to lighten up (Which you did, when Tomb Raider showed up). Brought it up in mod chat and 2 other mods agreed it was the best thing to do (The others were busy watching the show (Hooray for multiscreen E3s!)).

These threads always had small posts because people is watching and commenting, if in one hour one dude makes 3 posts because its bored i dont hink its spam but ok, this is E3 ffs , people get excited, bored and happy and blown away  in the space of minutes, and my post about tomb raider had nothing to do with what you said , i just saw your post after the conference and started looking into the quote in the dozens of pages in the thread.

No biggie, enjoy the rest of E3
