I come back to the Chartz and this is what I see? This whole site fell apart in my weeklong absence.

First of all, when did you guys start banning people based on PMs? I remember when a PM from John Lucas was leaked on the site with him insulting a bunch of people. Yet he didn't get banned for that. Second of all, you shouldn't be banning someone just because they're talking about starting a new site through private messaging. How silly. Who cares if he starts a new site? Are you gonna ban everyone who talks about Vizioneck?

And who's the person who went and told the mods about Jay's PMs? That's a pretty underhanded thing to do if you ask moi.

I believe that you're misunderstanding this. Might want to reread everything related to the ban.

He got a warning for talking about his site publically on the forum. Then he got permabanned for doing it through PMs.

Yes. And you don't see a reason why that's wrong?

He was doing his PR job on the forums, using VGC as a platform for his own publicity and personal gain, and he was asked to stop (by ioi himself, no less). But he still kept doing it behind the scene via PMs. The point is, he was asked to stop, but he did not.

I've never seen someone get banned for private messages. Especially not a permaban. Either way, I don't see the big deal with keeping it to PMs. Publically? Yeah I can understand why that's an issue but sending someone a PM is like sending them a text message. Who cares?
