Yes , why not ? If most gamers praise the game, there is a reason, why not listen to them ? It's stupid to blindly trust reviews(especially when they wont represent the game as it will be in few weeks with big updates) when you see excellent games like Alien getting only 79, or worse, TW101 getting 78, and the worst of all, the game of the generation, Deadly Premonition getting only 68 because they didnt understand the deep of the game.

This is where opinions start... GOTG? Well, this is your opinion :) I would *never* trust anyone or any crowd, to be fair. As I said in another thread we don't have demos anymore (well, only for very few games) so nowadays it's harder to build up your own opinion on new games but I trust *reading* reviews way more than 2-line posts with pics on an internet forum. This is where I much prefer reviews by gaming journalists over forum posts.

The only big to give average scores were: Joystiq, Eurogamer and GameSpot.

So driveclub is getting hammered in reviews for not letting you ram into other cars, cheat for cutting through corners and generally drive illigally. It takes away the fun....

They usually focus on PS news, but they don't exclusively review PS titles. I think they gave both FH2 and and DC and 8.

There is only 1 PS affiliated site to give a 9+ though :p The other 3 are 8, 7.5 and 7.5. Admittedly that 9.5 sticks out (the others are all common scores), but there are always a few people that enjoy a game more than most. Colonial Marines got an 8 for the guardian lol.

No, I believe I saw 3 of them.  Some may or may not be on metacritic.  There is one more, but I couldn't remember the name of the site.

I figured you were talking about metacritic, seeing as this is a metacritic thread :p

Anyway, of course brand affiliated sites tend to (on average) be more positive. It's why metacritic only lists a few at a time (and from my understanding they're weighted far lower than sites like IGN or GT).
