Ugh, this is reviewing about as expected. Massive delays, small lineup and generally mediocre. It's to be expected.

Imagine how bad it would have been without the delays :P

Wouldn't say that 75 is "bad". But yes it would have been worse.

Also keep those quote trees to three or below please guys!

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

O the world we live in where a probable meta of around 75 is considered total dungshit, on a free game nonetheless.

Wait, I am sure reviewers reviewed the full game and not the free "part" of it?

At this point, it's obvious that the game isn't going to set the world on fire with its review scores. For the people that were interested in it, just look at a few reviews and judge for yourself whether the complaints are something you can live with or not. I've had a lot of fun with a lot of games that have gotten mediocre scores. You might be surprised.

They updated metacritic. Lots of review still havent been accounted for but so far its a 70 http://www.metacritic.com/game/playstation-4/driveclub

The entire game is not free though? I was under the notion that only 1/5th of it was available from PS+?

Open World games starting score - 10
Non open world but somewhat not linear game starting score - 8.5
Linear and non open world game starting score - 7

Thats pretty much how reviews go nowadays in any genre.

Indeed, The Last of Us would have some good great scores if it was open world;..

5/10 from Gamespot but they lost all credibility long ago.

is that because they gave a score that disagreed with the score you hope the game to get?

No I heard it from many, many other reviews or let's say better, from guys on forums who disagreed with Gamespot reviews. I quit reading Gamespot years ago, the site is a catastrophe in web design.

I'll always have a soft spot for GameSpot because they gave Demon's Souls the GOTY when few others did.

Fair enough.I disagreed with kevin van ord score for alien isolation because it was too hard or him lol.  I can't judge the game until i have played , so will wait till it comes to psn plus. Would to see if it even come close to forza horizon 2 which is a really good game.

Forza Horizon 2 sits at 86 with only 2 mixed reviews so I don't see it reaching it after the first reviews are out and what reviewers are criticizing sounds somewhat reasonable. Doesn't mean the game is fun, though

exactly, totally agree with you . Can't complain it being free on ps either :). As long as the game is fun to play.

Hell, 1,97 million people bought KZ:SF and look how this ended on metacritic... There are people who even enjoyed Ryse... Well, in the end it all comes down to personal preferences and all that, not to mention that fanbases of course seem to like exclusives way more and talk about them way more in a hype way but that's just how it goes and works on forums :)

To be fair i think reviewers are harsher this generation than last, most likely because its harder to surprise people now.    70s are much more normal this generation, 80s are becoming more rare, and 85+ there is like 3-4 so far?  Its much different than last gen with 90s being given out left and right
