That's interesting that it took this long for everybody to learn about it. I posed this speculation a few weeks ago when all the trophies were discovered and the texture list was leaked. Among the blanks was also a slot for the Ice Climbers' alt trophy. I thought there was a missing assist trophy but it was just Color TV Game 15 being hidden in the white background of the picture

Going to doubt it, they didn't have a problem with Brawl and Melee having the T rating.

Melee was dropped to E10 when that rating was finally introduced.

Brawl had Snake who was likely the source of the T rating and is much harder to remove than a random trophy. 

Having a E10 rating makes it much easier to advertise as with FCC regulations, children's TV channels cannot have Games rated T or higher advertised

Me thinks the cheek on the left most pictures was the deciding factor.

I think this could be a dlc item trophy though since this character model will not make the game receive a Mature rating and Brawl actually had a Teen rating too because of Snake.

If they add this back into the game, I can see the Kotaku article already: "Gamers wonder when Smash Bros got this erotic"
