Vib Ribbon coming to PSN tomorrow

Sony working on a way to bring it to PS4 players, too.

Vib Ribbon will launch for PlayStation 3 and PS Vita as a PSone Classic in North America tomorrow and in Europe next week, Sony announced.

The PlayStation Network release will mark the game’s first appearance in North America. The original release only launched in Japan and Europe.

While Vib Ribbon is coming out for PlayStation 3 and PS Vita, Sony Computer Entertainment America president and CEO Shawn Layden said in a PlayStation Blog post that Sony is “still working on a way to make it available on PS4.” The PlayStation 3 version will retain the feature that allows you to create a unique level based on the audio CD of your choice.

It's a PS One Classic, there wasn't MP3 or Pendrives at the time :p

That's why a remake would have been a better idea.

One of my favorite games ever.. Now i can finally lock away that ps1 disc.. Too bad i don't have any music cd's left..

I've never heard of this game until now. I absolutely love the premise. I will definitely try this out on PS3.

One of my favourites, I was worried they weren't going to keep the use-your-own-audio-disc feature, which was pretty neat in the PS1 days.

It is a pity they didn't patch in mp3 support though, I assume that using the PS3 bluray drive as an audio source required a patch anyways, so it would have been nice to go the whole hog.

Lol, keep calm they're realeasing a game that has never seen the light of the day in America... Maybe if the PSOne Classic sells good they can think of a Remake, or a sequel... But by now they're only putting this on sell because many people requested :P
