Intrinsic said: Wow... there are so many very ignorant posts here. If what the Ubi guy is saying is true and that the CPU is the limiting factor, then no parity in regard to what he is saying should mean that the XB1 version should be the better performing game. And reso..... Ah fuck it no point. I should just shut up before I get banned again. |
That's ignoring the existence of GPGPU. And if that were the case, we wouldn't see this trend of games constantly running better on PS4. Their comment might as well mean that because of the parity they only used a limited amount of PS4's GPU to match that of XBO, and at this standard, they were limited by the consoles CPU's and couldn't produce 1080p. It's not like other games like Shadow of Mordor are lacking AI.

No. GPGPU is something atht ai can pretty much say no one is using yet on the PS4. Even their first party teams have not said they are doing anything with GPU compute much less a third party dev. And not just any third party... Ubisoft.
Even Cerny said he didn't expect anyone to be using the GPGPU (compute) advantages of the PS4s architecture till year 3 or 4.
Lastly, forget whatever they are saying. What that guy said is just completely bullshit. They made the game on the XB1 first, got 900p and decided that they will leave it at 900p on the PS4 too. Its as simple as that. All that stuff he is saying and throwing around is just nonsense. honestly, I don't know what is true and what isn't, I just know that the whole thing doesn't smeall right. The XB1s cpu has a 100mhz clock advantage, yet its know that the PS4 has better APIs so its overall a more fficient architecture.
Anyways as I said... to hell with it all. Good for them and their parity crap, they are just not gonna get my money. But I am definately looking forward to playing the game.
