Forums - Gaming Discussion - Assassin's Creed Unity is 900p/30fps on both PS4 & Xbox One 'to avoid all the debates and stuff'

I don't get why everyone is ignoring the fact they called the CPU a bottleneck for both systems

So PS4 version intentionally held back?

Poor form Ubi.

Looks like it. They're basically saying they pushed the XB1 version to the highest quality they could in terms of framerate en resolution, and then decided to just use those for the PS4 version. This seems like a case of the XB1's hardware holding back the PS4's version of the game.

Doesn't the X1 have the faster CPU and therefore the PS4 is holding both versions back? That is of course if the CPU bottleneck is true.

I think all you need to look at is EVERY OTHER game this gen so far. I'm no spec guy but whats been happened so far speaks for itself.

They explained pretty well how it came to the CPU bottle neck. Usually it's of course the GPU limiting but I assume that the CPU since it's extremely shit is running close to max as well. So a game that is slightly more taxing on the CPU could very quickly run into a CPU bottleneck. And I can believe this having seen the massive amount of AI on the screen and in the open world.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

Personally I was considering Unity if the reviews would be good, but now I might get it when it's on sale for like €20. I'm not supporting developers and publishers who intentionally hold back 1 version of a game. I've bought multiple Assassin's Creed games, but to me this shows that Ubisoft doesn't respect their customers, so why should I respect them?

Really more worried about it being a good game, than 180p of pixels onscreen.

Well I sure hope PS4 owners don't buy the game.

The uninformed gamer, which is the majority, will still buy it in droves.

4 ≈ One

No buy for me. I hope Sony will do something about this.

They have been holding back the graphics on PC games forever.

But the Sony bros quickly dismiss that. Hypocritical.

lol! damn didn't even try to spin it, they just blatantly said it!!!
