You're dead to me :P

Nah, jk.
Metal Gear always felt like a series that I can be content with what is currently released, but if a sequel/prequel is announced, I'd definitely be for it.

Sonic. I'm not really feeling any of the newer Sonic games.

Sonic died when Sonic Adventure came out. Ended up being the point of no return.

Colors and Generations were good though.

There have been some good games, but nothing amazing.

Overall the franchise is dead. Unneeded story plots, too many characters, terrible fan base. It needs a reboot.

That's probably what they're aiming for with Sonic Boom. New universe, new plot, new developer; it's as if they are trying to build a new brand and start with a clean slate. Boom doesn't look like it will "resurrect" Sonic though so it probably won't do Sonic any good.

Wave Race
F-Zero

Unfortunately Boom is the wrong direction for a reboot. They have the right idea with characters, though: Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Shadow, and Robotnik. But changing up gameplay so drastically, and continuing story plots, is dumb. The plots in Sonic games should be kept relatively simple. Leave intricate story plots to spinoffs like comics and tv shows.

There should be 2D Sonic games and 3D Sonic games. 2D games should operate like they have been. 3D games should have platforming sections mixed with speed sections. And some hybrid areas the reward skill with fast platforming. Without having to worry about cutscenes and a plot Sonic Team will be able to focus solely on gameplay and level design.

Regrettably, the Resistance Series

I think the op means franchises that will not have releases this gen. That means games like Killzone, infamous, uncharted are excluded
being as they already have games out or coming out this gen.

Bomber-man
Valkyria Chronicles
SOCOM
F-Zero
Twisted Metal
Project Gotham racing
Spyro (platforming)
Medal of Honour
Left4Dead

Nobody's perfect. I aint nobody!!!

Killzone 2. its not a fps. it a FIRST PERSON WAR SIMULATOR!!!! ..The true PLAYSTATION 3 launch date and market dominations is SEP 1st
