Forums - Nintendo - Anyone Else think Both Smash Bros(WIIU and 3DS) are Under tracked on Preorders?

I mean theres a smash bros bundle for wii u in the top 20 at amazon for a week and a half and it had a lot of positive reception at e3, tgs,etc.

UPDATE: Smash Bros Wii U Bundle is sold out at Gamestop? :P so if we go by tbones comment its possible it could be undertracked by 20k plus(who knows though)

3ds I think is severly undertracked since its on a sytem people have been waiting for
(major) games on for a while(nonthing since kirby or tomadachi)  plus its been the main highlight for nintendo at every event they went to

One word.

"Nintendo"

If you don't know what that word means, it means that historically Nintendo games never get that good of pre-order numbers. People just don't pre-order Nintendo games.

3DS version:

1 million first week in Japan...
70K pre order in USA before coming?

undertracked for sure... I think that will sell between 300K and 500k at the NPD.

Even the Wii U version is probabilu undertracked, have 26 point on COMG (usually one point= 1K, so, probabily 26K pre order), and i dont' think that in the US have less than 30K...

Generally games in the preorder chartz have been available to preorder in the US for a long while, that fits the case for Smash. But many have a confirmed release date, which isn't the case for Smash U

I agree on it being undertracked though. The fact we've seen Smash U out preordered on the charts this year by Bayo 2, Watch Dogs U, and Hyrule Warriors doesn't seem right.

yeah it should have way more than bayo 2(which actually im surprised that vgchartz is making it look like itll do decent or ok enough)

I think it's under tracked too. Yeah sure, Ninty games don't get many preorders.....but this is Smash!

1. VGChartz' pre-order estimations are very rough.

2. Amazon isn't very good (I know, big understatement) for estimating anything.

It is undertracked, SSB WiiU limited edition is sold out at all gamestops andd they all carry around 12-15. Thats excluding the regular game.

well if thats true then theres around 6k gamestops so that means

it might have 72k-90k preorders by now :P
