Forums - Gaming - Why won't EA release working games?

Don't get me started on BF4. That was released because the $$$ signs were rolling for a release coinciding with the PS4/XB1 releases. But I've just bought FIfa 15 (PS4) and sometimes when it connects to the EA servers it lags terribly online but also offline. That's just down right bad form.

Now that only happened 1 days for me but what has really tickled me pink is the trophy's being glitched. There is a trophy to get promoted in the FUT seasons and that gold trophy popped ok. But there's another gold trophy for getting promoted in the regular online seasons which I've done twice and the FUC*ING thing won't pop. This drives me nuts how things like this don't work. EA are such a big company and this will prob sell 5m+ copies on the PS4 alone yet they won't release it working right. IT'S NOT LIKE THE GAME ISN'T A MINOR UPGRADE OF FIFA 14 EITHER.

Anyone having similar EA game problems? /RANT OVER

When I got bf4 (cause of peer pressure T_T and disposable income at the time), me and my friends could not have a working game until 2 weeks later. Like, EA is like the worst company in the AAA gaming industry, seriously! At least activision games some what work when they launch and the issues with Cod for PC is usually a lack of optimization but with BF, the game bearly even runs online! And not to mention, why in the tits of mars does BF4 launch via web browser? Like fuck, relying on plugins/addons to launch a game is like relying on a crackwhore to write a proper essay. It is the dumbest thing I have ever seen! You have a stupid client called Origin EA, use that to launch games and not a stupid web browser. And of course, the fail simcity thing and the missing features in the Sims 4 add to that terribleness

I seriously will never buy another EA game ever again unless its free. And I swear, on the rare occation I run Origin on my PC, I feel like I am giving it cancer

don't forget they f**ked up the crysis series as well.

Just keeping my fingers crossed with Dragon Age. Such an awesome franchise but I had so many problems with DA:O that I ended up trying my luck with EA Support. It took two weeks for them to reply and then it was a complete waste of time. All their suggestions were THINGS I SPECIFICALLY SAID I HAD ALREADY TRIED. The next reply was basically, "you should probably check the forums." I never did get one of the pre-order DLC working.

Because you keep buying EA games, basiccaly letting them know they can get away with all this. I mean they get your money anyway, why spend extra time to polish anything if they already have your money? Stop buying unfinished games.

it was my first fifa since 2009. the other EA game I've bought was BF4 but I bought BF3 a year after it released and it worked fine by then. I had no idea BF4 or Fifa 15 would be like this. But I'll learn my lesson. No more EA games within the first year and if they happen to be great I'll get them on the cheap.

You can add the next gen version of NHL 15 to the mix. Lots of missing features at launch, although they are fixing some of those though patches.

They are actually pure scumbags. I buy a ridiculous amount of games but actually very few EA. I wish others would follow suit. If it was a company like THQ struggling with funds I'd say OK fix it after release but EA have more than they can spend right now and they're not releasing working games. I always thought it harsh they win the worst company of the year awards but now that I think about it they deserve it. SMH

Why blame EA for that?

Those games are developed by Crytek and their last great game was Crysis.

They're the publisher and are ultimitely responsible for their devs. Maybe crytek were more to blame for them but you can't defend them for the likes of BF4 and their annual sports games being glitchy. BF4 should have been delayed 6 months by EA and Fifa/NHL etc just need more money pumped into play testing and bug fixing.
