Yes they are.... Lol. You can argue they do not decrease the quality of a game, but technically they are worse graphically.

You drove yourself in a corner: sprites have a limit of good they look. Disgaea 4 was not limited by the PS3 because by default they cannot look much better. It's bitmap not vector. Thus they are not "worse" graphically. Sprites are sprites.

We weren't talking about sprites vs sprites, we were talking about sprites vs polygons. I think talking to two people has gotten you confused....

How much did you pay for Disgaea 5 and D4? How do you judge the price of a game? I hope you don't by graphics alone.

Mario 3D Land had PS3 level graphics, but I can assure you it was well worth every dollar I paid for it.

As I said, it was not an apt comparison. Sprites have a very different and unique appeal, they are not exactly "worse" in the technical department. And we are not talking about a high profile game.

The vanishing of Ethan Carter is 19$ on steam, it's a fantastic game and has graphics easily comparable to the best thing out there. What's Nintendo's excuse ?

The PS1 was the weakest hardware of that gen, and Suikoden 2 used last gen graphics.

Nonsense because the fact that PS1 was weaker did not limit Suikoden. The game used sprites because it was a sprite game ! X is not looking as good as FF XV and the Witcher because it is limited not because of artistic choices or genre   choices.

But being it was on the weakest hardware available it DID limit itself. Being a sprite game is proof of that.

The million dollar question though, given AZW's response is: did you play Xenoblade on the Wii so you can be in a proper position to judge?

I don't need to play the game to know what the battle system is like for the most part ... There's more similarities than dissimilarities in terms of combat and that's all that matters. Sure there are some different mechanics but Xenoblade Chronicles for the most part has the same base as FF XII. The more important question is that did both you and AZW play FF XII to catch my drift ?

My point wasn't about Xenoblade being a rip off of FF XII's battle system. My point was FF XV has the better battle system ...

I'm definitly getting both. But, i am excited and anxious for Xenoblade X. FFXV... eeeh... dunno when exactly. I'm not brimming with trust on square enix so i might wait for reviews before jumping in.

I have, and I disagree that XV has the better battle system.

Considering the fact they're in two different consoles, I don't think it's actually easy playing both.
If somebody has PS4 and Wii U yeah, it's a good idea doing that.

Hey don't click here ! It's creepy !!

I want a PlayStation All-Stars Sequel ! Come on Sony, stop making too many shooters !

I'll make a better signature when I'll have time to do it...

Oh, I did play FFXII a couple of times, but I don't necessarily think that FFXV's battle system is 100 times better or something.
