Yep.
零售 (ling shou) = To retailers
经销 (jing xiao) = To sell or to distribute
Wow, the past few days really showed the bloody truth of the bad attitude of some forum members here...
Positive Xbox thread: Hey, let's do some drive-by posting (not to say trolling...) to downplay or find other bad things concerning Xbox wherever possible, of course no further discussion is wanted. It's like punching the clumsy fat child in the classroom where everyone knows you get a free "hit" and won't get anything back. Everyone has a free punch, let's do it.
Negative Xbox thread (resolution-disaster): Out of nothing many people think they are now hardware-specialists and game developers and feel the need to post specs they mostly don't know anything about to show the better specs of the PS4, which it certainly has. But why post it again? Do you guys really think that you are still going to teach anyone the perhaps till today not known specs? A dpllar for each time I read "hardware won't change" and I could easily buy me a new Mercedes...

I don't know man, I think 100k shipped and maybe 40 to 60k sold is about as good as possible honestly. Post launch falloff will be insanely brutal as well. I doubt PS4 can do much better there. Double crap numbers and crap baseline is still crap sadly. Iphone 6 launches in what, ten days? All disposable income will go there, whatever minute pent up console demand will evaporate in a matter of days. In fact, ps4 could very well do even worse, with the handful of interested people in consoles already saturated with the x1 launch week.
100k may end up being more realistic as a lifetime sales number for a leading console there if the numbers fall as predictably :
45k fw
12k sw
3k tw
800 fw
500 baseline to death
| mymuro said: I won't take this too serious cuz these Chinese Forums and media tend to merge facts with personal assumption to attract attention. |
Doesn't that happen in pretty much everywhere? We are doomed as a species I tell ya xD

It has to be shipped otherwise, they would the first to clarify it. Anyway, 70%-80% sell through should be good for the console.

#119 relating to this post above reads according to translator^^ "Only here to share some information I learned: |
Let me translate the paragraph about sale number:
10万是Xbox One销售的预期目标,目前整个库存有100多万。
The expected target of XB1 sales is 100k and there ware 1 million+ in the warehouse.
现在出货10万中,各零售经销总有7至8万,Bes购入2万。
For the currently 100k shipment, 70-80k go to retailers and 20k go to BestTV.
这10万具体是否销售给玩家,并没有得到确认消息。
There is no confirmation about whether these 100k were sold to customers or not.

Actually since this is the first console legally launched in China it was technically the smallest market in the whole world prior to this launch. Very very very far from being a large market. |
No offense, but that is a non sequitor. That reasoning just... doesn't follow...
Overall, I disagree. While the vast majority of the population of China may not be able to afford an X1, there are still a lot of consumers out there due the population's sheer size. So technically, China is a large, untapped market.

Hopefully we will get confirmation soon.

Actually, that logic works perfectly. We judge a market by the amount that is sold there. For example would you consider Nigeria a bigger console market than the UK because it has like treble the population? No you wouldn't. The UK is the bigger market of the two as it sells many many many more consoles. |
That's because 1.) the UK has a much larger population, (scratch that >_<) 2.) it's wayy more developed, and 3.) it's an Anglophone country, so no, the logic does not follow.
