You know I've been saying for months that the PS3 has been doing a lot better and it is kind of funny to me that some of the bigger PS3 supporters are surprised by these numbers. This is the reason why I've said since November (possibly even october, not 100% sure) that the PS3 is doing much much better.

However, keep in mind that the original launch was sorely understocked and this last X-mas was not, so in that regard at least there was bound to be some improvement. I still believe sales were up on top of that but it does account for some of the change nevertheless.

wow every week is better so far. Thats crazy. PS3 gets most improved by a mile! Wii gets best sales. and 360 wins best games (currently).

The first year averaged ~108.000 per week with the Euro launch, and ~98.500 without the Euro Launch

So far this year, from January 12 to February 23, have sales averaged ~175.200

The sales look very good, i never knew we were this high over last year. With the 360 and wii tracking higher then last year it will be a great year for the industry.

but most of that is the almost 2 months of pre-christmas and post-christmas, and of course christmas sales. but otherwise the few last weeks it has been doing extremely well.

The fact that it sold 49K in February isn't that surprising as they were only selling in 2 regions however in June they sold just over 50K and they were selling in all 3 regions. So the biggest improvement year over year should be in June. Coincidentally that's when they will be releasing MGS4 :)
