Forums - Gaming - *I'm Selling My PS4 for a Wii U

Why would anyone sell a console to get another? That's the opposite of expanding your freedom of choice.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

I used to work at gamestop 14 years ago, people have done a lot worse.

I once badmouthed a kid's Xbox so bad that he traded it in for store credit and got a GBA and Legacy of Goku.  I was such a PS2 fanboy.  To this day, I still regret it!!

14 years ago, eh?

Trading in ps2's? Scary to think how far one could fall from the best console of all time. :D

Could be worse. I never bought a PS2. And got a GC only. I only got it last year to be honest lol.

That's exactly how I got my ps4 in January.
A guy preordered a ps4, got it at release, did not like the titles on ps4 and traded it for a wii-u.
He is happy and I was happy getting a ps4 when they constantly was sold out.

I prefer WiiU so that would be a good idea. I know 2 colleagues that sold their PS4 and got a WiiU. And they enjoy it.

If you live in US, get on Black Friday. Otherwise, Xmas sales are amazing for Nintendo products.

Somehow I find this very hard to believe.

I dont get it... So you wanted smash a lot and u probably knew it was coming out this year right? And clearly, you have money for two consoles, granted it may have taken u a bit longer to buy the other one... So y did you even sell ur wiiu if u were gonna do something like this in the first place? :/

Well, a few things happened: (Short Answer: I jumped the gun)

  • 1) I bought a Wii U too early and should've waited
  • 2) Nintendo announced their plan to only support the Wii U until current consumers are happy. I took that as "replaced by end of 2016" and didn't think it was a good investment
  • 3) I wanted something new so got a PS4 with no regrets
  • 4) Started wanting Smash & Nintendo in general again
  • 5) Realized, I could afford both (if handled correctly)

In the past, I've only had the Nintendo system each gen but bought like 40+ games for it. Now, I decided to just own 2 systems but with like 10 or so games each instead.

yup, you should.. if that kids kid gets killed trying to buy the hotly anticipated 12th gen nintendo console his blood will be on your hands.

Such a horrible person. :(

I am actually considering a Nintendo console for the first time in my life, but it would be stupid to do it at the cost of my One :).
