Forced out and replaced by one-button-Tabata?

Sigh.

No, I'm pretty sure FFXV was always going to be one-button combat, just like Kingdom Hearts since FFXV was basically Kingdom Hearts with Final Fantasy lore.

"There is only one race, the pathetic begging race"

Probably the best decision SE made in years

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

I knew it was fishy! Funny how many defended it "Well there's no need, Nomura's work is done"
Clearly SE was fed up with the lack of progress over 8+ years. Nomura was NEVER going to finish it. He would have tinkered and changed things till the end of time. Now we're getting a game with a muddled vision that's STILL only 50% finished. Bravo Square!

I expected as much. Nomura was passionate about Versus/XV project, he described Noctis as his "latest son".

Well, the project is progressing very well now, a fast comparison to 2013 shows that most of the core aspects were planed and executed long ago.

Can't wait for KH 3 :)

Worth noting - the Directors who've left a main-line FF game in progress in the past have all been gone from SE in general within 24 months.

"That isn't 55 percent after eight years worth of work. This is 55 percent during the two years Tabata has joined the project. It's something that Square Enix want to be very clear."

how can the majority of people misunderstand a simple and clear sentence as this?

Well you'll have to if Nomura is directing! If you look at say, the past 8 years or so, the man hasn't got the best record.
