OMG NO!! please, they need to let VII die. Like how many times has everyone played that game now anyway? HI've played through like 3 times. If they're going to remake something 5 or 6 would be more appropriate IMO, it would actually feel new!

Well, from my experience, Birth by Sleep has great story and interesting characters. But that is a prequel to the series. I have no idea about the rest. And honestly I wouldn't take people word for it, they can't even tell the difference between "not 8 years of development" and " It's 2 years"

That makes me extremely worried. I have no trust on Toriyama after the XIII series. I doubt he can make a remake any justice.

If they do, i just hope they completely stick to the source material. Just amp the graphics, leave everything as it was. The last thing we need is some paradigm shifts in FF7.

im mainly referring to the battle system, plus chanign things in game like this usually leads to a mis-mash of a game. I just have no hope for this game series anymore. The golden age of this game is obviously gone.

Yes, I'm sure. There's tons of evidence that suggests it, that team is still there that's for sure.

For console? I doubt it. A Matrix Software remake like IV makes more sense. They've never discussed doing a console remake, just handheld.
