I'm gonna point out that may not be true.
MK8 boost kept wii U above 10k in Japan for 6 weeks so I think that was fairly long spiek considering how the market is ESPECIALLY since it didn't have a bundle to help boost sales to crazy amounts. Of course we could also put the age of the IP in but since a lot of people tend to disregard that I'll do the same.

wow,. bayo 2 did pretty good all things considered.
that ps4 drop makes me sad. ..not that i really expected destiny to push ps4 at all but since it did i thought it would have at least a modest boost on the second week (~12k) before returning to baseline numbers.
Well, at least it didn't bomb as hard as everyone expected in the Tsutaya thread...

Destiny week 1 = 91K, week 2 = 13K
How about we wait and see what happens when PS4 is bundled with a game that sells similar numbers to MK8.
So, just over half what B1 did on 360 on opening week in Japan. And 1/4 what it did on PS3 opening week. At that time PS3 only had double WiiU's current install base in Japan. With luck it may leg it up to the 360's lifetime sales.
Clearly PS4 is still in need of games for the Japan market.

dear mummelmann tell me about your predictions when wind waker hd(1m+ ltd) sold 30k first week in japan and didn t gave boost to wii u ther!(but 7k pre week in usa and in the week of release 6k,europe 22k week of release,row 2k pre week and week of release 3k)?

That's the most important number for any hopes of legs. Don't think it'll get a much of a second shipment.

How about we wait until the ps4 has a game that does MK8 numbers and doesn't have a bundle and then compare. That's more fair than saying the ps4 has a game that does mk8 numbers beign bundles. I bet the drop off will still be more than the Wii U Mk8 2nd week AND that the boost will be atleast 4k less than the Wii U MK8 boost after 2 weeks.
