I don't trust VGC numbers but you and I both know that Japan is currently the weakest market outside of Monster hunter.  Bayo 2 will do ALOT more in the west in its first week than in Japan.

I doubt enough to warrant the time and effort of making this exclusive. We will see though, but I personally do not expect good numbers overall.

Expecting better sales because Bayonetta was a mistake from your part, not a bad performance on Wii U.

Games should follow the audience IMO. Games shouldn't be used as ransom to make you buy into a product. This happens in all sorts of industries though. Its like 75% of their audience just vanished. Just like when Sony snatched Final Fantasy 7 from Nintendo back in 97? Or when Nintendo snatched Monster Hunter from PSP? If the franchise is strong enough, the fanbase will follow. Bayonetta was just not nearly strong enough to do much of anything, atleast in Japan.

Honestly the sales of Bayonetta 2 are not worse than most expected....not that I would call it great.. PS4 is falling fast in Japan..I guess this year it will be not PS4's year...Next year will be..

Jesus Christ. It got a boost from Destiny the previous week. It's not 'falling fast' it's simply stabalised. There's always so much hyperbole on this site following a spike.

Sigh... You're living in denial aren't you? It wont end up being ported. wait until it Launches in the west before saying it will be a loss. Both Platinum and nintendo are known for having pretty damn good budgets.

Clearly you are the on in denial.  Reality it just debutes to 39k selling less then half its shipment and doing less then its predecessor on freaking xbox 360 in JAPAN.  It wont or will none actually none give a fuck, but their are realities in business.  If B2 is a flop it fails to help ninty then why should they suffer the costs ? they might as well let it go and funnel the $ else where.  


Sigh... Now now now, you do realise that in april Japan had a tax hike, and that specific hike wasn't small either right? The Wii U and PS4(coming off of launch though) were doing above 10k before the hike. Game sales were also much higher before the hike. The Market was also weaker than it was in 2009 before the tax hike. Yes, it didn't do well in its debut but all of it is easily explained. Bayo 2 wont flop in the west. It quite possibly might hit 1mil but I put it in the 700k+ range world wide at this moment. We'll see what happens after the holiday season.
