wow, that is MEAN!

how did Activision end up with the IP? This is what they should do, Sell the IP to Microsoft and I bet Microsoft will say "Screw you Nintendo, I will publish this game regardless how you feel since you have no say in it whatsoever"

And oh, Reggie just got PWNED by his boss. ;)

 that was the intention, but Nintendo Big boss said "no, it can't be released on any console outside of Nintendo"

This is sad as Wii and 360 don't even compete with one another. Big loss for everyone...except maybe sony as they have nothing to do with this :)

Something doesn't seem right about this. Not about Iwata blocking it. I'm pissed about that but it seems plausible enough.

However Nintendo having no rights and Activision killing it just to please Nintendo seems odd indeed.  If they are leveraging their marketshare with the Wii as a threat that's not a good sign for future third party support.
