I think those graphics that looked straight outta the sixth gen kinda caused a lot of people to just automatically react to it poorly. |
There's no way that is sixth gen. That's mid 7th gen at least.

It's not sixth, people have short memory.
If they get something on par with MGS4/Rising, but using this color palette, It will be enough for me.
And I think they will.
P.S: Peolple are not considering that the Engine was changed when the project moved to the Wii U.

It's hilarious when developers who don't work with nintendo contradict the ones who do. |
Sad but true, those that said they're terrible to work with didn't even try to work with them.

Yeah, definitely mid-7th. Valhalla changed engines twice mid-development, so I'm not surprised that it looked as rough as it did when they showed it at E3 this year.

I think with a new IP like Splatoon, Nintendo may as well leave it in the oven for a few extra months for quality purposes.
I guess it does depend though on how Xenoblade is coming along but by May 2015 I'd have to think its been in development for about 3 years.
So... should i be excited? Because i kind of am. I mean who would say no to colorful flying chicken, banana fights and a cat head mask?
