Forums - Gaming - Final Fantasy 15 Trailer TGS 2014 Tetsuya Nomura steps down! UPDATE: New showcase demo!

looks like the nearly 10 years were definitly worth it. definite buy. regarding nomura stepping down: i think his work, the creativ part of game, is in the bag. all that's left is the technical/coding part and that's why he's focusing on something else now.

by the way: how much is the square enix stock right now? i've got 10000€ and don't know what to do with it?

Love the lowkey roadtrip focus of the trailer simply for the fact that its something NEW! Not sold on the gameplay but the story telling already looks better then XIII. Give me a great story, characters, an explorable world and lots to discover and I know I'll end up loving this regardless of whether the combat is perfect or not. Still its looking better then what they showed before, the more context and precision based they make it the better imo

Also if this is the beginning of the game, that would be an awesome introduction to the world.

The natural Environments look like they need a tad bit more work.

So.. where did " I'm done with FF after the awful XIII" kind of comments went

I always knew that most of this nonsense would be gone once XV is properly covered by the media and close to release Different team, different vision.. the name of the company has little to do with it.

My GOD what was that trailler? That was 100% amazing. Almost unbeliavable.
After the piece of crap that was XIII I'm finally excited for a FF game.
Does anyone else fells a kind of VII vibe on that game? Can't explain why though...

unbelievable...

This is not fair for Nomura. Himself and his team has sacrifice development time for FFXV (FFvXIII) to help make FFXIII/FFXIII-2/FF-Lightning Return and to rebound FFXIV:ARR.

This is what I think really happen.. SE want FFXV to go multiplatform, therefore Nomura couldn't achieve his full vision by focusing on one console, so he step down like a boss..

Actually Nomura is needed on KH3, while FFXV only has one year of developpment left, he isn't that needed.

I'm just curious but lazy to look for it, buthow the team of XIII and XV related? totally different teams creating the game?

Yes, it is supposed to hold feelings of nostalgia from older FF titles even though it is very different in the gameplay. the setting of the world and the huge areas reminds me of FF VII too, a mix between fantasy and modern technology.

Nomuras was involved with Final Fantasy VII and VIII.

Completely different teams, XIII team leader was Motomu Toriyama, It was his first main project as a leader. XV team leader was Nomura (just stpped down), the team is best known for Kingdom Hearts series. Nomura himself was one of the key people for the franchise since Final Fantasy V
