When all the reviews are in it will probably be between 77-80.

Jim Sterling is a huge Musou fan, after all.  He gave DW8 a 9/10, as well.

And he gave Dynasty Warriors 8 Xtreme Legends Complete an 8.  Maybe because he knew he'd be overrating Hyrule Warriors.

At a guess, I'd say that's down to the Wii U's hardware.

In 2012, one of the developers said this regarding the Wii U:

"For games in the Warriors series, including Dynasty Warriors and Warriors Orochi, when you have a lot of enemies coming at you at once, the performance tends to be affected because of the CPU," he said. That slow CPU just isn't ideal for this kind of game.

That's actually a little bit better than I expected, but I've never really followed Dynasty Warriors much in the past either. Still, hopefully it sells well.

It got too good reviews for what it really is.

I wanted to give the review the benefit of the doubt, but holy hell it is tripe.

I think lots of people will be disappointed due to lack of games coming on the wii u.
Its like they want everygame on wii u to be AMAZING! and i dont blame them.
Maybe when the 3ds slowly dies ( i dont think theres any big game coming for it next year?) they might switch to wii u (both developers and gamers) but then again theres the new 3ds
At least im getting the games i am happy =D

I was going for a 71%, so I am close to the average, it will be my first Mosou game since 2002, but I still know what I am getting into, mindless button smashing fun with a lot of Zelda fan service.

This looks pretty bad so far, but I will wait for metacritic user reviews before deciding.
BTW I am a big Zelda fan but I cringed when I first heard of this game.

Edit: I also predict the ghastly CEL shading of the next Wii U Zelda will cause a financial disaster. It's like these designers don't have basic common sense.
