There is absolutely no connection between shipments and sales. Microsoft could as well ship 10 mln by march and still sell 5 mln by august. Consoles just colecting dust on the shelves. I do agree with You about VG chartz numbers there are definitely some discrepancies, we shouldnt really treat that numbers as kind of Bible.

Just out of curiousity, who would keep ordering those systems if they are only sitting on shelves?


It was impulsive response on my side, I give You that - there is obviously connection, but there is possible that having shipped 5mln by march MS could fail to sale all that cpnsoles by august. Im not saying it happend, just possible.

I take, that´s because you will never see me posting on the Weekly sales thread.

IIRC it was 9.1mi the week before Sony claimed the 10mi mark, and XOne was at 5.4mi. So, they had to massage the numbers after that.

However without explanation the XOne lost almost 10% of it sales. Even with the NPD leaks showing that both PS4 and XOne were overtraked in NA.

So, VGChartz undertrack the PS4 in more than 1mi units WW and at the same time was overtraking the XOne in 500K.

That is when all the talking of the XOne never catching the WiiU... a thing that will happen by late Octuber.  

Even with the Wii U at 40k a week and assuming it has been overtracked as well as X1 undertracked, X1 has outsell the Wii U by 100k a week or more. That's not going to happen.

The numbers are 170k from the end of July. At the same time VGChartz has it at 175k. It was much higher before the adjustment.

xbox one and wii u deserve to fail
they are anti consumer(dont spin it like "oh wii u got mario kart now its good" or "phill is fixing" crap)

That's a bit harsh. Neither of them are failures to me.

I agree with seece 100%, Wii U has been over tracked. 

 

Owning all 3 consoles, I appreciate them all. They each bring something to the table the other doesn't. But just because my favorite console isn't ahead of the comepetition or doesn't pack as much punch in power, doesn't mean it doesn't deserve recognition.

Even if Sony wins the console wars, does it truly make its competitors failures?

wii u: no 3rd party support, droughts, not up to date in social aspects

xbo: e3 2013, kinect part of it at start, not a strong excluisve line up(racing games or shooters ..really?)

They both show they need to do not as good(the only one that should do well and is is ps4)

Now i know that sounds harsh but thats my opinion

i dont want the companies to fail I just want the consoles to underperform

Dont... PS4 is a fail as much as Xbox One in my book.

Online behind paywall, not a console, lack of exclusive 1st party games that would define it... Has no vibe... Cant standout, skeleton...
