Forums - Microsoft - Yet Another Game May Not Come To The Xbox One Due To Parity Clause

Who cares about indie games on X1 anyway?

We like to have indie games on PS4 so we can gloat about how many games it has.
We like to have indie games on WiiU because we want something ... pretty much anything new to play.
We like to have indie games on PC because, wth, $2 for this game? OK

What niche do indie games fill on the X1?

lol what

"Indies more relevant than ever". Right.
Who'll remember this game tomorrow?

They talk about indie games on the PS4 and Xbone, yet not a single peep about the Wii U? Why ignore over 7 million people who tend to buy more indie games than those on the PS4? Do they hate money?

Everyone ignores eight million users who buy a lot of indie games released on the Vita as well.  That's all there is to buy for that system is the main reason why.

they should get rid of it,
they make alot execptions, so why keep it at all??
they just lose games

Never heard of this game until now...! No comment.

Welp... I don't even know why the clause still exists.

because Microsoft thougt  selling even more underpowerd hardware than the PS4  and bundling it with something most people dont care about all of that in an era where privacy/spy bullshit is a problem for 100 bucks more than a PS4  was resulting in XBO outselling PS4.

They are still under shock :)

Btw if I am lucky I will get that XBO (kinectless version) with Destiny for 299. And then I will sell destiny because screw online. But chances are like 5%  that I might actually get that bundle. (Already have a PS4 btw)

Indies don't count anyway. Look at all the X1 AAA exclusives!

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

The reason is to incentivize developers to publish it on Xbox first (or exclusively). There is merit to that strategy, but it might not work anymore since Sony is in such a commanding lead. Practices like that only work when you're already on top. True indie studios don't have the budget to make a lot of different versions, so they'll want to get it out first on the platform that will make them the most money, and if that's successful they can make ports. If you're trying to catch up from behind, developers will look at the Xbox policy and shrug them off, knowing they'll make more on PSN anyways.

And then they wonder why Sony gets all the good word of mouth and they get slapped at every instance.

Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!

My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/

My consoles: PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim 320 GB, PSV 32 GB, Wii, DSi.

Wonder if they'll make an exception for No Man's Sky
