US is not declining except the wii casuals............Japan is smaller yes, thats understood, doesn't change the fact you are wrong.


US is declining too. 190k for a market leader is weak. 

PS2 was crushing 300k+ its first August and it's not like it had a ton of games at that point either -- that's what a strong market leader looks like. 

People have just lowered their expectations so much that this has become the new normal. 

Again you ignore all ponts....

 

It is 1 month for $400 consoels that sold WAY more then every console ever. at launch..of course it would be slow in August...ps3 and 360 would be too...360 the market leader had many months below 250k.............wii died.

 

Us is not in decline because of 1 month, that makes no sense....wait until the holidays, yuo will look silly.

You keep bringing up a pecific month ignoring total sales thjat is BS and spin....1 month does not begate it being the second fastest ever to hit 10 million, and SPT is going to be huge.

 

 

Also US <> world......there are other emerging markets picking up the slack.


PS2's holiday 2001 will absolutely *rape* any console this holiday season. 

PS2 has soundly beaten PS4 month for month this year pretty much across the board. 

Same for Wii if we look at the same months.

Wii brought in the wii fad but dies early, again irrelevant and not comparable..

Not selling as well as either of those has NOTHING to do  with PS4 being weak sales wise. Nothing will touch those ever. It sold near 160 million if thats your definition of what it takes to sell well then ROFL...Ps2 was a perfect storm. Unrealistic expectations or just head in the clouds.

Eu of course.  Plenty smaller markets are gowing there, na is falling in general.  Matching it is dependent mostly on time, id bet years alingned in the future will show this gen having greater sales.  

I question whether the EU is growing at all either. UK is down the crapper, that leaves Germany and France to pick up most of the remaining slack.

Sub-200k months are weak, if you have to go back to the late 90s where that was the norm, that's fine, but I think that's fairly dissapointing in the overall sense.

Yeah by September 31 they should just cross 7.2 million Shipped. Wii U could actually be at 6,700,000 right now.


lets assume that is really overtracked,i can accept it now!However welfare you have exaggerated,it must be around 100k-200k,think it a little better!also you re implying that shipments of the current quarter will be 520k,10k increase regarding the previous quarter!In fiscal Q1(apr-june) shipped 160k,in fiscal Q2 shipped 300k ,140 increase.You are expecting only 10k increase?...

If you sum both you will have a number ~1.5 million bigger than real shipment/production because the shift from FY2006 to FY2007 counted the same units two times (produced in the Q4 FY2006 and shipped to retail in Q1 FY2007).

i think the haters and naysayers have sunk to a new sad low.

They have obviously given up anything outselling or matching the PS4.

So now its "yh yh the PS4 is winning, but they are not winning well enough"

Funny thing is that this "well enough" logic ignores that the PS4 is selling better than any playstation console before it. Including the playstation console that is still the best selling console of all time.

I guess haters  really HAVE to hate.

No...ps2 competitors wee non existent....xbox only sold what 25 mill??? You can see in the future? The ps4's best years are ahead, not year 1.

 

Again 1 month is irrelevant, and meaningless on there own...360 had many months, why do yuo keep bringing up one random month, why not march when it ddi near 400k?

 

The ps3 and 360 amny months below 200 k, and they had supply issues way further thus making there declines take longer to hit...again you keep ignoring that.........ps4 hit 10 mill vastly faster then 360, by a long shot......and it was the market leader in the US last gen..so you make no sense.

 

It took 360 way longer to get to 10 million, by the time it did shortly after price cuts came.........ps4 is already nearing 11 million, when demands slows the price will drop and sales will pick up. You keep ignoring how much faster ps4 hit past 10 million leading to hitting demand faster, thus slower sales now.........if ps3 and 360 hit 10 mill so much faster there first year there sales would have been way lower as well.

Yep it's pathetic, and they ignore all year sales and focus on 1 month and declare that as proof.....nothing but spin
