I'm pretty sure if I dig around I can find more specific numbers but PS2 was at 30 million+ by May 2002:

So I'd say it's safe to say they were at 10+ million by August 2001. 


Huh, kinda sucks for everyone, then. o.o Always figured that the Xbox One was doing 'pretty decent' and the PS4 'really good,' with the bulk of the Xbox One looking to do poorly being its comparison to the PS4, but I guess this means that the PS4's doing 'pretty decent' and the Xbox One 'pretty badly' if hitting 10 million by that point isn't anything very special.

Its been two months, three now. No other software releases either, this isn't unexpected. Just sad.

Many nintendo fans were predicting Nintendo outselling x1 this holiday ROFL. So not expected for some.
