The xbox 1 released in its tier 2 countries earlier this month. I have seen many people talking about the tier 2 countries giving a significant boost to the european marketshare. 

I dont believe this to be the case. The supermaket i work in has an electronics department in which im affiliated. The top decided our store should buy 2 xbox ones at launch,  both of which are still here.  In comparison we received 16 ps4,s and we would have gotten more if supply was available.  All the ps4,s were sold out and the que was so bad that even employees couldnt reserve one for themselves untill the beginning of the year. 

Not only that but our leading online retail has the ps4 at #2 and the controller at 1. In comparison newly released xb1 is at #7

Have you seen any significant Destiny boost for either console?

no one thinks tier 2 will help x1 much at all except a few people living in denial.

dont call other countries tier 2. its sorta degrading when tier 1 is better. No one likes being #2.

Well we have sold more consoles coinciding with the release but not that many destiny copies with it. It has become common knowledge here (to my surprise)  that you can download games for about half price through the US store instead of buying them at retail.  I think the european price increase made a lot of people here switch to digital (myself included)

Its just bad wording..  We know that we arent in the same priority as the US and large EU countries. A bigger issue is that nearly none of the big titles has localized subtitles on their games for xb1 whereas  pretty much all 1rst party and most 2nd party has it for ps4 just like ps3 did.  It even has full voiceover for ganes with a low age in mind like ratchet. These days with story centric titles that is anabsolute necessity imo.
