Forums - Gaming - Will Destiny be a long term system seller like MK8, or short term like Titanfall

Depends. Will it be remembered or forgotten?

Bet with Xander XT:

I can beat more games on his 3DS than he can on my PSVita in a month. Loser has to buy the winner a game on his/her handheld Guess who won? http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=193531

The single fact Destiny has lots of thing to unlock will keep players playing it and more players buying it.

Add me if u want :)

Hard to measure because Destiny is being released close to a time where HW boosts naturally anyway. How are we gonna look at next months sales and determine if Destiny is pushing units or not?

It'll be a short seller due to word of mouth not being great

There's been plenty of positive impressions from the game. Certain people are just focusing on the negativity for reasons I don't need to state.

But to answer your question, no I don't think it'll be a system seller past this holiday season. We'll see how long Destiny bundle keeps selling. Once Sony offers the standalone white PS4 the Destiny bundle will drop.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

Destiny will be forgotten by the time the next big game is released

Please, dont ubderestimate destiny like you did bzfore, it has the potential to be a longer seller than Mario Kart 8_

Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:

 PS4: 17m   XB1: 10m    WiiU: 10m   Vita: 10m

I think people are overestimating the amount of bad impressions. The only place I've heard anything remotely negative is forums. Everyone I've talked to in real life has nothing but praise for it.

Same here. It's like how on forums people always say CoD sucks. It keeps selling though.

People at my job who bought it love Destiny so far.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

Personally I saw more caution articles than hype articles for Destinie. Hell at this rate people are going to start calling the Order overhyped lol. Now as far as word of mouth goes I've highly enjoyed it and my two roommates that have tried it are considering getting it for their 360s.

word of mouth means right now.

People who have not played it but watch a twitch stream and thought it looked boring.

A huge number of the "mediocre" user reviews were posted within an hour of the game being released. Meaning certain groups of people or fanbases for a specific console or game did not want to like it and are going out of there way to tell other people why they should not like it.

End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)

Wii- 72 million   3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

bingo.

And guess what, those people who are on the forums right now are the ones who dont have it. I have not talked to one person who does not love it (people I know or people on my friends list)
