I caught my PS4 fapping once. I always wondered where my tissues went.

My PS4 has done that a few times, not lately though. A quick fix I found online was turning off the system completely and forcing a disc inside as far in as it would go, then turning the PS4 back on.

@op, mine did that once and my bother in law's did the same with the power button, in both, just push gently the button out from the bottom of the button and power on again with no issue no more...

A habit like that is not normal for a PS4. I'm glad you guys took control of the situation.

Hmm. So, a malfunctioning disk drive apparently equals fapping now.
If the PS4 gets a will of its own and starts fapping (to what, exactly?) of its own free will, perhaps Sony has perfected AI...

Anyway, I'm hoping everyone affected by this manages to resolve the issue, and that any disks were not damaged as a result of this.

Nope never happened but only have one disc based game and played it alot so my PS4 is probably fine. Just wish the console weren't so noisy when installing games and when you suspend. Much nosier than PS3
